Feel happier and healthier with Sound and Singing

This is a temporary site for Sound and Singing.

My name is Emma Curtis and I have been singing opera, as a soloist, on international stages for the last ten years. I believe that good singing does not depend on the style but on a healthy technique. A good technique will keep your voice healthy and serve any musical style. I will work with you to release and develop your true voice. I can work with you on interpretation and on your performance and comfort onstage. This is all part of your singing-self. I believe that if you don't feel good about your singing then you cannot reach your potential - I'll do my best to get you there.

I am also a practitioner of Sound Healing and psycho-acoustics. This is a way to release, often hidden, blockages to free expression and creativity and allow you to move towards becoming the master of your own health and happiness. You do not have to be a singer or musician to benefit from psycho-acoustic healing with Sound and Voice.

When appropriate, I work with singers to unblock technical issues that have resisted extended study, through psycho-acoustics. (This is not part of a standard singing lesson.)

I work One-to-One at my studio in Claygate, Surrey (30 mins South by train from Central London).
£40 per hour for Singing tuition, £65 per session for Sound Healing, and psycho-acoustic voice work.

Please email or call 07768 878764 to book a session, or to chat about it.

I began teaching music (recorder) whilst still at school and have coached and taught singing, individually and in workshops, since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GGSM). I have specialised at an international level in Opera and Concert singing, but have also professionally sung jazz, musicals and even indian raags and african chants and have worked as an actress, so I understand the use of the voice in most vocal styles and how to stay healthy, whilst getting the sound that you desire. I trained as a Practitioner of Sound Healing in Seattle, USA with Tom Kenyon.
